Trainee Pilot
So far my journey into the aviation industry is short, but I have loved it. I’m currently training with CAE as an ATPL cadet, along side studying Aviation Management with Buckinghamshire New University. I have finished ground school and am moving to Phoenix to learn to fly!
It’s my younger brother who I have to thank for discovering that becoming a pilot is my dream, as I went with him on a couple of taster flights that he had for his birthday. I always loved the idea of being a pilot, but for whatever reason never thought it would be something I’d be able to do. It wasn’t until covid when I was supposed to be looking into university, that my mum sent a link for a CAE flight school webinar. It was from that point that I knew university was not for me because all I wanted to do was fly!
Outside of the aviation world, I’m a huge lover of sport. Going to the gym throughout ground school was a massive help, it’s a great way to clear your head whilst staying active. Besides the gym, I love skiing and playing netball… I can get pretty competitive when it comes to sport I can’t lie. But I suppose some healthy competition isn’t a bad thing.
I never thought I’d be able to be a pilot, yet here I am training. I’m so grateful for this amazing opportunity, and for my parents backing me every step of the way.
