EASA AIRBUS TYPE RATING & CCQ

We offer type rating courses for the Airbus A320, A330 & A340. Additional modules such as Low Visibility Operations, PBN or Zero Flight Time training are also available. We also have a combined MCC/A320 Type Rating for ab-initio students.

An existing Airbus type rating may be converted to any other Airbus rating through an abridged Cross-Crew Qualification. We offer CCQ to A320, A330 & A340 from all other Airbus types, including the A380.

FULL TYPE RATING – A320 A330 A340
A full type rating course takes 5-6 weeks, and is composed of the following:

THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE TRAINING

  • CBT Systems Training available either at home or on-site
  • Classroom instruction for Weight & Balance, Aircraft Performance and SOPs
  • Web consultation and instructor support
  • Theoretical examination

SIMULATOR TRAINING

  • Flight training device – 3 sessions
  • Full flight simulator – 7 sessions (9 for ab-inito crew)
  • Full flight simulator – 2 optional sessions (Low vis and ZFTT)
  • EASA Part-FCL skills test

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid ATPL or CPL/IR with ATPL theory
  • Valid Class 1 medical
  • Valid MCC – unless taking our combined MCC/320 Type Rating
  • English language assessment 4 or greater (ICAO)
  • CCQ – A320 A330 A340

Any existing Airbus type rating may be converted to any other Airbus rating through an abridged Cross-Crew Qualification. The CCQ takes 1 week, and highlights differences between aircraft types through the following programme:

  • Theoretical examination

SIMULATOR TRAINING

  • Full flight simulator – 3-5 sessions
  • Full flight simulator – 2 optional sessions (Low vis and ZFTT)
  • EASA Part-FCL skills test

All our courses are taught by current, experienced Airbus pilots who take great pride and pleasure in sharing the knowledge they have gained throughout the years working for major airlines around the world. Courses are generally run in a standard two crew configuration, but can also consist of two Captains or two First Officers with adapted exercises.
