The GMT Airliner story:
Bruno Fromont is an Airbus A330/340 captain with a Belgian airline company.
Through a mutual friend we met and the feeling immediately spread between us.
He told me that for years he had the ambition to create a watch for pilots that would display two time zones, which would be very useful for crews making stopovers all over the world.
He presented me his drawings as well as the technical and visual requirements for the watch he had already named: it would be the AIRLINER in reference to the pilots flying the line.
His sketches were accurate and precise. Bruno knows what he wants and especially what he doesn’t want.
He wanted a watch with no digital display, showing a vintage look, at a very affordable price for all aviation enthusiasts.
We immediately decided to join forces on this project, Bruno bringing his cutting-edge design and myself the technical and commercial expertise of my 35 years of experience in the watchmaking industry.
In a few months’ time we matured the project to complete the GMT AIRLINER Classic model which we hope will satisfy the many chronograph fans.
