Emirates Reports Record Annual Profit for 2024–25

Strong travel demand and strategic growth make Emirates the world’s most profitable airline

Emirates Reports Record Annual Profit for 2024–25, reflecting a year of extraordinary growth and performance across its global network. With a profit before tax of AED 22.7 billion, the airline has not only weathered global economic and geopolitical challenges but has emerged stronger than ever — claiming the title of the world’s most profitable airline.

The Emirates Group’s total revenue reached AED 145.4 billion, with a 14.1% net profit margin, underscoring its efficient operations and sustained demand. Emirates Airline itself generated AED 127.9 billion in revenue and carried 53.7 million passengers, with a seat factor of 78.9%. The airline’s active fleet grew to 260 aircraft, reinforcing its dominance in long-haul international traffic.

Chairman and CEO Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum said:“Despite heightened geopolitical tensions, supply chain challenges and economic uncertainty, the Emirates Group did what it does best – stood tall and strong, and beat all the odds to become number one.”

In 2024–25, Emirates expanded its retrofit programme — now one of the largest in the world — to 219 aircraft, and increased capacity on high-demand routes in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. These efforts played a critical role in helping Emirates report record annual profit for 2024–25, with the airline further boosting its reputation as the carrier of choice for millions.

dnata, a vital part of the Emirates Group, also saw substantial growth, handling 794,000 aircraft, 3.1 million tonnes of cargo, and generating AED 21.1 billion in revenue. Investments in catering facilities in Australia and Dubai supported dnata’s mission to expand capacity and sustainability across its operations.

Sustainability & Community Impact

This year, Emirates made progress on key environmental goals: reducing emissions, consuming responsibly, and preserving habitats. Through the Emirates Airline Foundation and dnata4good, the Group also supported children and communities globally with food, education, and healthcare.

Future Outlook

The profit share target for 2025–26 is AED 18.88 billion, with qualifying employees receiving a 22-week bonus in May 2025. Emirates remains committed to investing in its people, products, and planet — reinforcing its leadership in global aviation.
